Electric dirt bikes in Dallas
North Texas riding is mostly private parks and leased land rather than the vast public OHV areas the western states have, which changes the calculation: you are usually paying a gate fee for a groomed facility, and the machine that suits that is different from a desert bike.
Where to ride near Dallas
This shapes which machine is right more than any spec does. Riding any of them requires a Texas Parks & Wildlife OHV decal.
Texas Parks & Wildlife — Off-Highway Vehicle Program
TPWD maintains the current list of public OHV areas and the decal requirement. Most North Texas riding is at private parks, which set their own rules on top of the state decal.

We ship to Dallas regularly, but we have not ridden there ourselves, so we are not going to name spots we cannot vouch for. The agency list is the one that stays current.
Not on this list: Dallas streets, sidewalks, bike paths and park trails. That is the riding that has driven tightening regulation across California.

Frequently asked questions
- Where can I buy a Sur-Ron or Talaria in Dallas?
- From us. We are an authorized dealer based in San Jose, about 1,730 miles from our San Jose floor, and we ship to Dallas by freight. Typically 4–6 business days by freight. Every bike is uncrated, checked and set up before it leaves rather than drop-shipped sealed.
- Where can I ride an electric dirt bike near Dallas?
- On designated OHV land and on private property with the owner's permission. Texas Parks & Wildlife — Off-Highway Vehicle Program maintains the current list for your area — we would rather point you at the agency that keeps it up to date than name a spot that may have closed. Texas requires a Texas Parks & Wildlife OHV decal.
- Can I ride one on the street in Dallas?
- No. These are electric off-road motorcycles and are not street legal in stock form. Riding on a public street, sidewalk or bike trail is a violation in Texas. Legal riding is OHV parks and private property. Texas is more permissive than most on conversion: the state does allow off-road-to-road with the right paperwork, which means DOT tyres, headlight, taillight, brake light, turn signals, at least one mirror and a horn. Confirm with your county before you spend money on a kit.
- Which bike suits riding near Dallas?
- Talaria Sting R MX4. 55 mph and 62 miles of range suit a full day at a park, and the removable 45Ah pack means a second battery covers the drive out and back without hunting for an outlet. That said, seat height and your own experience matter more than terrain — tell us your height and weight and we will give you a straight answer.
- How long does delivery to Dallas take?
- Typically 4–6 business days by freight. Bikes ship crated on a pallet as UN3481 Class 9 freight, and we quote the cost against your address before you pay rather than burying it at checkout.
