Talaria JR-16 for sale

The next step up. 16 in wheels, 720 W peak, still speed-limited.

In stock Junior fit Off-road only 2025 · 2026

The JR-16 is the step up from the JR-12, aimed at riders roughly 6 to 9 years old. Bigger 16 inch wheels and double the battery give it real range for a bike this size, while the 10 mph limit keeps it sensible. The seat adjusts for both height and angle.

  • Seat adjusts 50–57 cm (19.7–22.4 in), height and angle
  • 24V 10Ah (240 Wh) pack — up to 15 miles
  • 33 lb, aluminium alloy frame
  • Suited to riders roughly 6–9 years old
  • Adult supervision required at all times

Talaria JR-16 top speed, range and power

The Talaria JR-16 top speed is 10 mph, and it will cover up to 16 miles on a charge, from a 0.72 kW peak motor rated at 0.36 kW continuous producing 50 N·m at the rear wheel. It weighs 33 lb with a 19.7 in seat.

Peak output is a burst figure — on a long climb or in deep sand you are riding the 0.36 kW continuous rating, which is the honest number to compare between machines. The pack is fixed, so the bike charges where it is parked.

What size rider does the Talaria JR-16 fit?

The Talaria JR-16 has a 19.7 in seat and suits riders of about 3 ft 7 in – 4 ft 4 in (109–132 cm).

Rider height
3 ft 7 in – 4 ft 4 in (109–132 cm)
Inseam
about 20 in or more for flat feet at a stop
Indicative age
roughly 5 to 9, but fit the rider, not the birthday
Seat height
19.7 in
Weight
33 lb

Fit the rider, not the birthday — height and inseam decide this, and age is only a rough guide. If they cannot hold the bike up unaided at a standstill, it is too big, whatever the age range says.

Who the Talaria JR-16 is for

A good fit if you are

  • The natural step up from a JR-12, on 16 in wheels and a 19.7 in seat
  • Riders around 3 ft 7 in to 4 ft 4 in tall
  • Children who have outgrown a balance bike or a 12 in machine
  • Parents who want more range — 16 miles against the JR-12's 9

Look elsewhere if

  • Riders still on tiptoes at a 19.7 in seat — stay on the JR-12 a season longer
  • Children ready for real speed, who want the X3 Mini
  • Public roads or bike paths

What it is like to ride

The JR-16 is the bike most children spend the longest on, because it arrives right when balance clicks and it stays useful until they are ready for something genuinely quick. Bigger 16 in wheels roll over ruts and roots that stop a 12 in machine dead, which in practice means fewer stops and fewer tears. It is still speed-limited to 10 mph, which sounds slow to an adult and is entirely fast enough for a seven-year-old on grass. At 33 lb it is still light enough to lift into a car boot without help.

Talaria JR-16 price

The Talaria JR-16 is $1,397 . That is firm US retail, benchmarked against live US dealer listings — freight is quoted separately against your destination.

The step up from the JR-12 buys bigger wheels, nearly double the range and a taller seat — it is a size upgrade first and a power upgrade second.

Common questions

What is the Talaria JR-16 top speed?
The Talaria JR-16 has a top speed of 10 mph, from a 0.72 kW peak motor rated at 0.36 kW continuous and 50 N·m at the rear wheel. Expect less into a headwind, uphill, on soft ground or with a heavier rider — that is true of every machine in this class.
How much does the Talaria JR-16 cost?
The Talaria JR-16 is $1,397. That is our firm US retail price, checked against live US dealer listings — not an indicative figure or an MSRP we hope to hit.
How far will the Talaria JR-16 go on a charge?
Up to 16 miles from its 24V 10Ah pack, depending on terrain, rider weight and ride mode. The battery is fixed, so the bike has to go where the charger is — worth knowing if you live in an apartment or park outdoors. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours.
What is the seat height of the Talaria JR-16?
19.7 inches, and the bike weighs 33 lb. Seat height decides suitability more often than power does, so if you are between models it is the number to compare first. Maximum payload is 154 lb.
What size rider does the Talaria JR-16 fit?
The Talaria JR-16 has a 19.7 in seat and suits riders of about 3 ft 7 in – 4 ft 4 in (109–132 cm). As a guide that is roughly 5 to 9, but fit the rider, not the birthday, but fit the rider rather than the birthday — you want an inseam of about 20 in or more for flat feet at a stop. If they cannot hold the bike up unaided at a standstill it is too big, whatever the age range says.
Is the Talaria JR-16 street legal?
No. This is a high-powered electric off-road motorcycle and is not street legal in most US jurisdictions in stock form. It is intended for private land and designated OHV riding areas. California SB 586 created an "eMoto" classification effective 1 January 2026 — it classifies these machines, it does not make them street legal.
Talaria JR-16 or Sur-Ron Hyper Bee?
The Talaria JR-16 is 0.72 kW and 10 mph at 33 lb, on a 19.7 in seat. The Sur-Ron Hyper Bee is 8 kW and 40 mph at 86 lb, on a 26.9 in seat. Weight and seat height usually decide this, not power — we compare them side by side if you want the detail.
